FRESH AND ONLYS “Play It Strange” (In The Red - ITR 202) LP  (UPC: 759718520217 - LPFRESHPlay)
***In The Red is proud to announce the release of the new full-length from San Francisco's FRESH AND ONLYS, Play
It Strange. After two albums (on Castle Face and Woodsist, respectively) and too many singles and EPs to count, The
Fresh and Onlys deliver their most solid outing yet. Recorded by studio whiz TIM GREEN during an eight-day
session, Play It Strange marks the band's first recording in an actual recording studio. On two-inch analog tape! The
results are nothing short of incredible. For those unfamiliar with The Fresh and Onlys, their sound draws from jangly
psychedelia, Morricone-style Western twang, dark vibes a la Bad Seeds / Gun Club, melodic '60s sunshine pop and a
hint of garage rock swagger. While this disparate list may look strange on paper, it makes perfect sense when you
hear it. Play It Strange is the sound of a band that has ingested a wide range of rock 'n' roll influences from nearly
every genre and sub-genre to come up with something fresh and immensely enjoyable. Vinyl includes digital
download coupon.

DEAD C “Patience” (Ba Da Bing! - BING 070) CD  (UPC: 600197007020 - CDDEAD Pati)
DEAD C “Patience” (Ba Da Bing - BING 070) LP  (UPC: 600197007013 - LPDEAD Pati)
***Patience is both appropriate and inappropriate as a title for the latest release by THE DEAD C—inappropriate
because it's been only two years since the last album, which in Dead C Time is but the flicker of a candle; appropriate
since the key to enjoying their sounds is willingness to sit down, listen and let the music take over your mind. These
four unforgiving and intense tracks will not be confused with the work of any other band. Recorded in Dunedin over
the Southern summer of 2009/10, Patience captures a restless band that never settles into any form. The trio of
MICHAEL MORLEY, BRUCE RUSSELL and ROBBIE YEATS makes their improvised music sound like the most
substantial ever recorded, no matter in what direction they go. Here, vocal-less, thick and thundering electric drones
compound and retreat like a Pacific Ocean of noise. Morley once again provides the artwork and continues in his
color palatte of late. Its circular, flowery texture provides the perfect mandala for contemplation while lost within the
deep meditations that Patience inspires.Vinyl pressing of 1000 copies, includes free digital download coupon.

ARTICLES OF FAITH “New Normal Catastrophe” (Alternative Tentacles - VIRUS 422) 12"  (UPC: 721616042214 -
LPARTICNew) ***The classic lineup of early-'80s Chicago punk pioneers ARTICLES OF FAITH have recorded
together and are playing two live shows for the first time in 25 years! This five-track 12-inch EP is blazing fast and
intelligent hardcore a la the band's classic What We Want Is Free EP (1982) and Give Thanks LP (1984). Recorded at
Chicago's Million Yen Studios (Cheap Trick, Effigies, Local H, Smoking Popes) on July 4, 2010, these songs show the
members' continuing political involvement and enduring musical chops. This lineup had not written or recorded
together since 1985's In This Life LP. New Normal Catastrophe was mixed by J. ROBBINS (of Jawbox and Report
Suspicious Activity—the latter a collaboration between Robbins and Articles of Faith's VIC BONDI) in Baltimore, MD.
The 12-inch will be available in time for the return of the original lineup to the stage at Chicago's annual Riot Fest
from October 6-10, 2010. This lineup has not played live together since July of 1985! Includes free digital download
coupon.

PETER GORDON “Love of Life Orchestra” (DFA - DFA2229) CD  (UPC: 829732222920 - CDGORDOLove)
***PETER GORDON and his LOVE OF LIFE ORCHESTRA—as a new audience discovered upon hearing the
FabricLive.36 compilation, a handpicked mix from LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy and Pat Mahoney that opened
and closed with Gordon's "Beginning of the Heartbreak / Don't Don't"—are testament to the incredible musical
innovations happening in New York City in the late 1970s. Those two compositions, underpinned with disco and
gilded with noisy guitar bursts, hanging piano chords and saxophone wails, exhibit not only Gordon's kaleidoscopic
vision as a musician, but his precision as a producer and composer. Featuring avant-experimentalists and downtown
legends DAVID BYRNE and ARTO LINDSAY as well as Love of Life Orchestra cofounders Gordon and DAVID VAN
TIEGHEM, the tracks shine a light on the work of an artist whose influence on dance music is recognizable more than
three decades later. Gordon's hefty contribution to music is given an up-close look with Love of Life Orchestra, a
retrospective of the composer's work. Compiled here are the aforementioned singles and songs that show the breadth
and quality of Gordon's output. Throughout this impressive catalog, harmoniously interwoven strains of jazz, rock
and neoclassical, add texture and color to these wonderful songs. Love of Life Orchestra, taken as a whole, serves as
ample testimony to the far-reaching scope of Gordon's musical sensibilities and a reminder of his enduring musical
legacy.

DELIA GONZALEZ & GAVIN RUSSOM “Track 5” (DFA - DFA2244) 12"  (UPC: 829732224412 - LPGONZATrac)
***If the music of DELIA GONZALEZ & GAVIN RUSSOM is cinematic in its essence, the way their songs unfold into
soundscapes and conjure up serene images, it's because the visual is inextricable to their work, whatever form it takes.
The two artists—previous collaborators on magic shows, sculptures, performance pieces, modern dance and, yes,
films—initially began making music to score their own video creations, so it follows that the compositions they've
since created are both sonically and visually expressive, bringing to mind moving pictures and static images. In 2005,
Gonzalez and Russom released The Days of Mars, an album inspired by "everything from Alice Coltrane to acid-house,
Santeria ritual music to the kosmische side of krautrock," and filled with warm, spacey, almost tactile music from
Russom's self-built analog synthesizers. The album's four songs sounded not unlike a soundtrack for an imagined
film. The same can be said of "Track 5," a previously unreleased single meant for The Days of Mars, but ultimately
deemed out of place on the record. It begins with the slow reveal of a repeating electronic ring atop a rising, falling,
sine-curving synth. With each additional layer--a piercing, urgent synthesizer; a deep, continuous, ever-expanding
rumble; the sound of a guitar, awash in reverb--the atmosphere thickens. It's both restless and placid, anxious and
tranquil. Just over ten minutes in length, the track closes with a chorus of high-pitched synths that fade to a sparse,
darkened end. This 12-inch, very likely Gonzalez and Russom's last, also features a remix from AME, comprised of
Germany's KRISTIAN BEYER and FRANK WIEDEMANN. The house duo wholly transforms the A-side into a track
so unrecognizable it seems brand new, taking it far from the introspective dreamworld to a dance party in the sweaty,
blissed-out, wee hours of the morning.

NADJA / OVO “Life and Death of a Wasp” (Vendetta - VENDETTA 41 / ADAGIO 48) LP  (LPNADJALife )
***Italy's OVO and Canada's NADJA got together during the last few dogs days of summer 2009 in their adoptive city
of Berlin at Einstuerzende Neubauten's andereBaustelle Studio. With engineer BORIS WILSDORF at the board, each
duo began two songs and had the other duo finish them—BRUNO DORELLA and STEFANIA PEDRETTI adding
heavy, pounding rhythms and harsh, eerie vocals to AIDAN BAKER's and LEAH BUCKAREFF's ambient textures
and bass-heavy drones. As the four were having coffee after the sessions in the back garden, a wasp, drugged on
sugar, flew into Buckareff's coffee cup and drowned itself, traumatizing everyone at the table. The Life and Death of a
Wasp, while still heavy and retaining the signature sounds of both groups, turned out groovier and mellower than
either party expected. But this mellowness gives the songs a greater sense of presence and allows for the intricacies
and nuances of each individual's contributions to be properly heard. With a final mastering by JAMES PLOTKIN, the
album sounds simultaneously harsh and lush, aggressive and warm. No exports outside North America.

ZALE DALEN “Terminal City Ricochet” (Alternative Tentacles - VIRUS 407) DVD+CD $ 10.85 (UPC: 721616040791 -
DVDALENTerm) ***ZALE DALEN’s 1990 film Terminal City Ricochet—one of the most asked-about JELLO BIAFRArelated
projects—is finally seeing the light of day! Never available on VHS and rarely shown outside of Canada, this
dystopian vision is as timely as ever. The action takes place in one of only five livable places left on Earth, where
telegenic Mayor Ross Glimore (PETER BRECK, THE BIG VALLEY, SHOCK CORRIDOR) is king of all media and
rules as a virtual dictator. To maintain his grip on power he must stage an election, and for that he needs fresh fear.
Enter Alex Stevens (MARK BENNETT), a fed-up, cynical newspaper delivery boy who happens to witness Glimore
run over one of his own supporters in his car and leave the scene of the accident. Glimore and his Rove-wellian
henchman Bruce Coddle (Biafra) hatch a plot to brand Stevens "the #1 terrorist threat" (based on his connection to
rock 'n' roll music which, along with meat, is banned) to cow Terminal City into submission and steal another tabloid
election. Stevens flees underground, where he stumbles into a resistance movement led in part by his newfound
friend Beatrice (LISA BROWN) and a fugitive brain-damaged goalie from the Glimore-owned hockey team, and finds
himself caught up in a plot to bring Glimore down, with the not-so-secret police (DOA's JOE KEITHLEY and prowrestling
legend GENE KINISKI) hot on the trail. The DVD package comes with the soundtrack CD featuring some of
Alternative Tentacles' most beloved acts, plus tons of DVD extras.

MARCUS ROGERS “Widower” (Alternative Tentacles - VIRUS 408) DVD+CD $ 10.85 (UPC: 721616040890 -
DVROGERWido) ***The Widower is a surreal black romantic comedy featuring familiar faces like JELLO BIAFRA,
JOEY "SHITHEAD" KEITHLEY, ANI KYD and NARDWUAR THE HUMAN SERVIETTE; this package includes an
incredible previously unreleased soundtrack! With The Widower, director MARCUS ROGERS has created an instant
cult classic. Inspired by the sinister visions of David Lynch and the colorful, comic book camp of John Waters, the film
is a cartoonish world of decay in a timeless, nameless city, where the very fringes of reality are starting to unravel.
This is especially true for Milton, the nebbish romantic widower who is unable to face the reality of his wife's
demise... But why should he? She still talks to him. The Widower is a creepy, kitschy comedy about love and death,
blood, cops, and donuts, that has some surprisingly sweet touches among the corpses, punk rock and out-sized
characters! The previously unreleased soundtrack CD features NEKO CASE AND HER BOYFRIENDS, DOA, THE
SMUGGLERS, CHRIS HOUSTON, THE ASTRONUTS, THE LOUDMOUTHS, HUEVOS RANCHEROS, BUGHOUSE
5, COAL, THEE GOBLINS, ELVIS LOVE CHILD, THE MACH III'S, SARCASTIC MANNEQUINS, THE
PROBLEMATICS and THE COLORIFICS. DVD has a ton of extras to boot.

YOKOTA, SUSUMU “Kaleidoscope” (Lo Recordings - LCD 84) CD  (UPC: 730003418426 – CDYOKOTKale)
***Electronic music innovator Susumu Yokota is back with his deepest and most satisfying album yet. Kaleidoscope
takes the listener somewhere really strange--just turn out the lights, lie back and sink into this vast ocean of sound.
As far removed from ambient wallpaper as Black Sabbath are from Take That, the record nevertheless has a calming,
narcotic effect that can induce a near-trancelike state. Sometimes dark and deep like Nurse With Wound, other times
light and rhythmic like Steve Reich, Kaleidoscope is epic in range and masterfully executed--the work at which
Yokota has always hinted. It has the raw, almost primal feel of his early albums along with the depth and complexity
of his more recent releases. There's been a lot of talk about "hypnagogic" music in the press. If "auditory
hallucination" is the proper definition of the term, then Kaleidoscope is the mother of all hypnagogic albums. It's no
wonder that both Oneohtrix Point Never and Emeralds cite Yokota as a major influence. No exports outside North
America

SEELAND “How to Live” (LOAF - LOAF 38) CD  (UPC: 730003463822 - CDSEELAHow)
***SEELAND is Timothy Felton, Billy Bainbridge and Neil McAuley, sonic pioneers associated with Birmingham,
England's "Retro-Futurist Electronic Scene." The group is often mentioned alongside Ghostbox artists like The
Advisory Circle (who they have recently remixed) and Mordant Music as comprising the loose musical collective
referred to as "hauntology." How to Live follows Seeland's critically acclaimed debut Tomorrow Today. Moving away
from a drum-machine-dominated sound, the album is an altogether creamier confection. There are still chugging Neu
grooves and soft-focus psychedelic electronics, but the sound is more all-encompassing, more organic, like slipping
into a hot tub with a glass of homemade lemonade. Recorded on vintage synths and old analog equipment run
through numerous pre-amps and filters, and mixed by Brian Duffy of Modified Toy Orchestra, How to Live sounds
simultaneously ancient and modern--like Joe Meek meets Kraftwerk, or The Blue Nile produced by White Noise.
With the hallucinatory exotica vibes of bands like Ducktails and Javelin, the band has a spectral quality, like a
transmission from a parallel universe that is audible but not visible. The new album once again features artwork by
Julian House. No exports outside North America

SOLAR BEARS “She Was Coloured In” (Planet Mu - ZIQ 270) CD  (UPC: 600116827029 – CDSOLARShe)
SOLAR BEARS “She Was Coloured In” (Planet Mu - ZIQ 270) 2LP  (UPC: 600116827012 – LPSOLARShe)
***NOW AVAILABLE ON CD!!! Hailing from Ireland--Wicklow and Dublin to be precise--Solar Bears are John
Kowalski and Rian Trench, the sole producers and musicians on the group's debut full-length, She Was Coloured In.
They met at Pulse Sound Engineering School, started recording and were swiftly picked up by Planet Mu. This album
follows in the wake of expectation stirred up by their recent Inner Sunshine EP and a series of remixes.
Solar Bears' music is the soundtrack to a good life. Their songwriting and production has a languid, pastoral grace
that intertwines rock and electronics, twisting melodies through prog rock's structures and occasionally making sharp
turns into more tense post-rock territory. She Was Coloured In mixes analog electronica with the quietly epic
perspective and shimmering neon synths of late-'70s / early-'80s kosmische music and the synth pop it informed.
The album opens with the cosmic disco intro of "Forest of Fountains" before moving straight into the gorgeous watery
Rhodes and vocoder of "Children of the Times." By "Head Supernova," the listener is floating in beatless ambience
reminiscent of chilly '80s synthscapes. "Dolls" pits a children's choir against rolling guitars while "Neon Colony"
mixes gliding bottleneck guitar and triumphant synths. She Was Coloured In finishes with the sleepy, sunkissed
drone of "Perpetual Meadow" carrying the listener back down to Earth. Spend some time with the Solar Bears. No
exports outside North America or Japan

CAPRELLS, JEFFERSON AIRPLANE, DAVID ESSEX, SELDA BAGCAN & MOGOLLAR, NEIL YOUNG, AIR,
SHUGGIE OTIS, GUNTER KALLMAN, THE WHATNAUTS and many more.”

MAJOR LAZER MEETS LA ROUX “Lazerproof” (Mad Decent - MAD 003) CD  (CDmajorLaze)
***14 LA ROUX songs mixed by MAJOR LAZER! “Lazerproof takes instrumental and vocal tracks from La Roux's
heavily 80s-indebted album and brazenly mashes them up with beats and rhymes that are almost wholly up-to-theminute
hip, encompassing rap, R&B, dancehall, and dubstep. Surprisingly, it often works, thanks to singer ELLY
JACKSON. She's a dramatic, expressive vocalist, and it seems likely the real reason Major Lazer thought a mindmeld
with La Roux sounded like a good idea was because Diplo and Switch knew her voice could still sound great even
outside synth-pop strictures. The blend of La Roux's "Fascination" with "Keep It Goin' Louder", a standout from Major
Lazer's own 2009 debut, Guns Don't Kill People-- Lazers Do, is a seamless success, as is the recasting of formerly plinky
"Quicksand" as a slice of squelchy, steel drum-blessed dance bliss.” Received a 7.2 rating from Pitchfork.

PIOULARD, BENOIT “Lasted” (Kranky - KRANK145) CD  (UPC: 796441814527 – CDPIOULLast)
PIOULARD, BENOIT “Lasted” (Kranky - KRANK145) LP  (LPPIOULLast)
***Lasted is the third album by THOMAS MELUCH under the alias BENOIT PIOULARD. Thomas has toured
throughout North America and Europe since his last record, the process of which has had a marked impact on the
development of these songs as lyrics and structures have been scrapped, tweaked and reworked in the live setting. As
with previous albums it was recorded and mixed in domestic isolation, this time throughout the rainy season in his
current home of Portland, Oregon. While the extent of the dreary climate’s influence on the results is left to the
listener’s discretion, what is certain is that Thomas has a preternatural ability to weave disparate sound components
into a cohesive sonic tapestry, mixing a varied palette of field recordings and percussive elements along with
melancholy melodies to create songs that recall—and are akin to—vespers of long-buried memories.

SCREAMING FEMALES “Baby Teeth” (Don Giovanni DG - 45 cd 8.10 633757224520 CDSCREABaby
***A reissue of SCREAMING FEMALES’ self-recorded first album! Last year, Screaming Females toured relentlessly
in support of their critically acclaimed third album Power Move. Their hard work landed them spots opening for
Dinosaur Jr., Throwing Muses, and Jay Reatard, plus dates touring with Arctic Monkeys and the Dead Weather. The
year brought them to a wider mainstream consciousness, gaining attention for their punk rock sensibilities and their
raucous live shows driven by front woman Marissa Paternoster’s famed guitar heroics.

DEAR, MATTHEW “Little People (Black City)” (Ghostly International - GI 125) 12"  (UPC: 804297812519 - lpdear
litt) ***CHECK STOCK!! Clocking in at over nine minutes and riding on a martial disco beat, MATTHEW DEAR’s
“Little People (Black City)” is an unlikely candidate for the first single from Black City (received an 8.4 Best New
Music tag from Pitchfork), the Brooklyn-based producer s career-defining third album. And yet, nothing makes more
sense, as the track neatly encapsulates Black City s mix of dystopian futurism, creeping anxiety, and sonic beauty.
Inverting disco’s pleasure principle, “Little People (Black City)” traffics in unresolved tension and melodic ambiguity
as choruses are eschewed in favor of expertly paced movements and gleaming synthesizers morph into prickly guitar
figures. In the end, the length os “Little People (Black City)” is its greatest strength—Matthew Dear takes the scenic
route, guiding the listener through the winding streets of his fictional metropolis in all its wondrous, terrifying glory.
The single of “Little People (Black City)” includes two remixes by MARK E. On the “dub” version, the UK producer
turns “Little People” s maximalist tendencies on their head, rebuilding the track into a kraut-influenced chugger with
a minimal, sinister undertow. Mark E. s “remix” version works closely with the original, warming up “Little People”
s chilly ambiance and dosing the backbeat with a satisfyingly melodic bassline. Only 300 copies available for North
America. No Exports.

FLOORED BY FOUR “S/T” (Chimera Music - CHIM 04) CD  (UPC: 616892097969 - CDFLOORs/t)
***MIKE WATT’s "Manhattan project" is a (mostly) instrumental record by four remarkable musicians—NELS CLINE
(WILCO, NELS CLINE TRIO/SINGERS), YUKA HONDA (CIBO MATTO), DOUGIE BROWNE (IGGY POP, ARTO
LINDSAY, LOUNGE LIZARDS) and MIKE WATT (THE STOOGES, fIREHOSE, MINUTEMEN, DOS). All of the Four
are gifted players but more importantly they are original, idiosyncratic, and unpredictable musicians. Their playing is
bursting with undeniable character and imagination. Floored By Four shifts effortlessly and unexpectedly between
dark and mysterious jazz, avant-punk, exotic otherworldly sounds, strutting Memphis soul, echoing Sun Ra, Booker
T, Bitches Brew, Can, Funkadelic, Sonic Youth, Beefheart, and Xenakis. No Export to the EU or Japan.

SUN CITY GIRLS “Funeral Mariachi” (Abduction - ABD 045) LP  (UPC: 613505275820 - LPSUN CFune)
***In stunning fashion, SUN CITY GIRLS' final studio record caps a 27-year run for what many hail as the most
bizarre, eclectic and provocative musical trio ever assembled. From the delirious intro of "Ben's Radio" to the final
drum crash of the title track, Funeral Mariachi delivers eleven well-crafted gems which display the refined studio
production side of SCG shrouded in that otherworldly glow which has always separated the group from their
contemporaries. Beyond the gorgeous folk and vocal styles which drive the album, there is a heavy retro Italian
cinema influence, Arabic and Indonesian references, and a ghostly psychedelic moodiness throughout. Postproduction
and final mastering was completed by THE BISHOP BROTHERS after the untimely death of CHARLES
GOCHER in 2007 and the results will not disappoint followers of this impossible-to-describe unit. Funeral Mariachi
provides a perfect introduction to the more melodic sector of the SCG universe surfacing, ironically, at the end of
their career in the form of what someday should become one of the most beloved records they ever created. Limited
one-time-only vinyl pressing housed in a beautiful, heavy-duty full-color gatefold jacket with the back cover
photo taken during the last SCG photo session in 2006.
PAPAGIKA, MARIKA “Further The Flame The Worse It Burns Me” (Mississippi / Canary - MR 051) LP
(LPPAPAGFurt) ***MARIKA PAPAGIKA was one of Greek music's greatest vocalists. She recorded 225 performances
between 1918 & 1929. This LP features some of her most mystical and moving. Instrumental accompaniment is
provided by various combinations of cymbalon, cello, violin & clarinet. Includes a booklet featuring all known
photographs of Marika and extensive liner notes by IAN NAGOSKI which shed much deserved light on one of the
deepest artists of the Rembetika & Greek folk music scene. Record is housed in an old school tip on sleeve.

L’ORCHESTRE NATIONAL A DE LA REPUBLIQUE DU MALI “S/T” (Mississippi - MR 076) LP  (lplorchs/t)
***The National A Orchestra was founded by the new government at Mali's independence. They later divided into A
and B formations. The A Orchestra was led by KELETIGUI DIABATE a multi-instrumental virtuoso. An album of
incredible Malian music reissued for the first time since the 1970s. Eight tracks with beautiful vocals and guitar work.
This is the second in a series of six Mali music LPs Mississippi will be reissuing from Sterns.

VARIOUS ARTISTS “I Don’t Feel At Home In This World Anymore” (Mississippi - MR 014) LP  (LPv/aI Do)
***BACK IN STOCK!!! This one follows the footsteps of Mississippi’s popular Last Kind Words but really only as far
as time period of recordings. The concept here is international music as recorded in the US by early immigrants. This
LP is all over the board. Limited to 800 LP's. Normal pressed jackets.

BRAINBOMBS “Singles Compilation” (Load - LOAD 019) LP  (UPC: 604197101917 – LPBRAINSing)
***THE BRAINBOMBS use a horn, scraping guitars and the mindset of a mentally impaired killer to bring some dark
damage to the putrid remains of the corpse of rock music. When the band started, they were much more in line with
the European industrial scene of the time. Though they use the tools of the rock trade, Brainbombs instead breath
from the fart-helmet of minimal repetitious overload. To this a drugged out horn floats in the mix. The collection of
songs on this release documents the band’s first seven years of exceedingly hard to come by singles plus bonus tracks.
BRAINBOMBS “Urge To Kill” (Load - LOAD 022) LP  (UPC: 604197102211 – LPBRAINUrge)

***Sweden's BRAINBOMBS have been carpet bombing eardrums since the mid-’80s with their sadist aktions, so Load
Records is proud to roll out the brown carpet for the vinyl reissue of their 1999 classic. Be warned, sensitive listener,
that this record traffics in some adult subject matter: driving around in your car, being tired, picking up hitchhikers
and killing them with hammers & screwdrivers. If this bothers you I am sure there is more pleasant music there, but
for the rest of us, there is Brainbombs.

BIRKIN, JANE Di Doo Dah “Light In The Attic” (LITA 055) CD  (UPC: 826853005524 - CDBIRKIDi D)
***Di Doo Dah is the first true solo album from British born actress, model, singer, mother, and French national
treasure, JANE BIRKIN. Emerging as a creative and beatific force in London's Swinging ‘60s, she met Parisian
provocateur SERGE GAINSBOURG in 1968 on the film set of Slogan and birthed one of the most fantastic creative
collaborations the world has ever known. After the 1969 duet album Je T'Aime… Moi Non Plus and the landmark
L'Histoire De Melody Nelson, Jane was ready for her own namesake debut. Di Doo Dah sees Birkin, Gainsbourg, and
co-conspirator JEAN-CLAUDE VANNIER (L'Enfant Assassin Des Mouches) meld Jane's fragile vocals with jazz, rock,
and lush orchestral textures: a perfect album for living and loving. Light In The Attic's definitive version of Di Doo
Dah is available for the first time in North America on both CD (featuring two bonus tracks) and 180-gram vinyl, with
original artwork, unseen photographs, and extensive liner notes by renowned music journalist ANDY BETA. With
full cooperation and insight from Birkin herself—not to mention French lyrics and English translations—this reissue
truly allows listeners to delve into the album's witty and frank world of sex, sin, voyeurism, motorcycles, Brighton,
and banana boats.

VARIOUS ARTISTS “Chickens In Love” (Origami Vinyl - LPV/ACHIC) LP  (LPv/aChic)
***A compilation released by Origami Vinyl and 826LA to benefit the 826LA writing programs for children. The two
companies hosted workshops where children wrote lyrics, which were then given to twelve different bands to put to
music and record. The artists involved are: SHE & HIM, EDWARD SHARPE & THE MAGNETIC ZEROES, FIONA
APPLE with JON BRION & THE PUNCH BROTHERS, DUM DUM GIRLS, COLD WAR KIDS, TIM AND ERIC,
CRYSTAL ANTLERS, SUMMER DARLING, THE PITY PARTY, THE GROWLERS, SUBMARINES, and THE HAPPY
HOLLOWS. Pressed in an edition of 500 copies.

SAND SNOWMAN “Nostalgia Ever After” (Beta-Lactam Ring - MT 235) CD  (UPC: 753907158823 - CDSAND
Nost) ***“Q: How do you build a Wooden Horse? A: Trees. SAND SNOWMAN’s sound hearkens back to a time
when people used the word ‘hearkens.’ It is possible that this faerie acid folk is made by actual faeries, with the
beautiful lilting harmonies and subtle progressive diversions that only small, winged beasties can perform properly.
Gentle, with an edge; sitting atop the same cloud as the more mystical Bunyan, Perhacs, or even Bob Trimble
compositions. Quiet, but lush with crisp acoustics leading hand percussion and other exotic instrumentation to the
sea shore. This is truly an incredible string band, whose jaw-droppingly beautiful album will hopefully have new
initiates seeking out the group's several previous releases. Beware, however, as playing this album may result in a
bad case of Green Men. First edition of 500 copies.

JEFF THE BROTHERHOOD “Heavy Days” (Infinity Cat - ICR 44) LP  (UPC: 884502125856 - LPJEFF Heav)

kind of song that was made to make the summer last well into November. Catch Heavy Cream on tour all year.
Includes a download.

MCGUIRE, MARK “Living With Yourself” (Editions Mego - EMEGO 107) LP  (UPC: 9120020388153 –
LPMCGUILivi) ***MARK MCGUIRE operates chiefly as guitarist in the legendary EMERALDS; however, he also has
racked up an impressive set of solo releases over the last few years (albeit mainly in small- to micro- print runs).
Living With Yourself is his new album and Editions Mego hope to meet any demand which may arise from this fine
selection of modern crafted guitar tunes. Focusing on his family, early friendships and the problems that inevitably
develop through years of knowing someone, it takes McGuire's sound even further out, and contains some of his
most accomplished songs to-date. The opening track is a fine example of McGuire's magical technique of taking a lone
acoustic guitar then transforming the track into bliss-out electro wash looping off into the distance. And tracks like
"Clouds Rolling In" and "Brain Storm" take off where such McGuire classics as "The Marfa Lights" (which incidentally
is planned for a future reissue) left off. While connoisseurs of his sound will find all they desire in here, many superb
surprises await around every corner. These are songs that cruise, bubble and rise to the top.

FATHER MURPHY “No Room For The Weak” (Aagoo - AGO 027) CD  (CDFATHENo R)
FATHER MURPHY “No Room For The Weak” (Aagoo AGO 027 V) 10”  (LPFATHENo R)
***FATHER MURPHY’s sound can best be described as dark, melodic, heavy and haunting. Imagine 5,000 Viking
Oars being dipped into the cold sea; 500 Cherokee drums summoning the spirits of battle; and a 50-foot tall Grace
Slick presiding over a midnight pagan ritual with torch, sword and microphone. This is Father Murphy. The Italian
rock trio’s previous album …and He turned to the sun was warmly embraced by the UK and the US press and won
fans like Julian Cope, Deerhoof and Michael Gira. Father Murphy is now back with a new, four song EP that is both
an extenuation of their previous albums and a huge step forward. Taking the title from a line of Joy Division’s Day of
the Lords and building from the same sound that made the LP such a strangely eerie aural experience (detuned
guitars, droning toy organs, strangled boy/girl vocal harmonies), Father Murphy takes the listener to a short but
increasingly deep and suffocating trip into their collective mind. Lyrically, the EP deals with the dubious joys of
mysticism, convoluted theology, enlightenment through self-inflicted pain and a perilous, twisted way to an equally
twisted idea of salvation. On tour through mid-October (October dates with Deerhoof and Xiu Xiu).

ARP “Soft Wave” (Smalltown Supersound - STS 190) LP  (UPC: 600116849519 – LPARPSoft)
***NOW AVAILABLE ON LP!!! Recorded as ALEXIS GEORGOPOULOS (the man behind the music of ARP),
relocated from San Francisco to New York, The Soft Wave is expansive in scope, unfolding like a collection of short
stories or filmic vignettes, each piece building upon the other. The Soft Wave incorporates guitars, piano, flute, and
Ebows to create a dense brocade of sound. Georgopoulos even steps up to the mic for the gorgeous centerpiece "From
A Balcony Overlooking The Sea," calling to mind classic John Cale & Brian Eno. Though Georgopoulos still has a
knack for creating environments in which you want to recline, hammock-style, he's also peppered The Soft Wavewith
soft blasts of blissed-out fuzz. Recorded to 2-inch tape, it's warm glow & blown–out formalism will undoubtedly
appeal to a broad, sophisticated range of tastes. No Exports. Received a 7.9 rating from Pitchfork.

CHANNELS 3 AND 4 “Christianity” (Gilgongo - GGGR 025) LP  (lpchan3chri)
***Originally slated to come out on Summer Lovers United several years ago, as a follow up to their Christian Girls
Like to Get Cut 12-inch EP with Johnny Jewel—this long delayed collection of Vancouver riot grrl synth punk has
finally made it’s way out there. Members of SHEARING PINX and TWIN CRYSTALS, their output includes many
obscure gems in the realms of cassettes and lathes on their respective Isolated Now Waves and Ear + Bird labels.
Dance-y, manic outbursts from three of the many prolific members of the modern Vancouver scene.

DRUNKEN BARN DANCE “Grey Buried” (Quite Scientific - QSR 016) CD  (UPC: 656605795522 – CDDRUNKGrey)
***SCOTT SELLWOOD, SCOTT DE ROCHE and RYAN HOWARD (SATURDAY LOOKS GOOD TO ME) have put
Neil Young's Crazy Horse in a tumbler, added a touch of the Mountain Goats and shaken the hell out of the drink,
pouring it into a rock glass with Jameson. They might not be happy if you called it Americana, then again, they might
not care. With a drink in hand, nods to the Guided By Voices and Hold Steady ethos, this is a boozy amalgam of
obliquely western tinged indie rock.

KOERNER, SPIDER JOHN “March 1963” (Nero’s Neptune - NN006) CD  (UPC: 643157409564 – CDKOERNMarc)
***NOW AVAILABLE ON CD!!! A major archival discovery, taped March 24, 1963 for a Milwaukee, Wisconsin radio
program, on the eve of the very same day that the seminal Blues, Rags & Hollers LP by KOERNER, RAY & GLOVER
was created. SPIDER JOHN KOERNER is the man who first introduced a young Bob Dylan to the 12-string guitar, a
bona fide legend who is acknowledged as an influence by artists as diverse as John Lennon, Beck, the Doors & Dylan
himself. Nearly 50 years ago, Paul Nelson, writing in the Little Sandy Review and Sing Out respectively, said that
“Koerner’s art is like Chaplin’s, as great and lasting as it is entertaining,” while calling him “the most innovatively
brilliant acoustic blues musician of his generation.” In the year 2010—seldom performing and now in his 70s—we call
the reclusive Koerner "one of the world’s greatest living practitioners of traditional American folk music." It is with
enormous pride that Nero’s Neptune presents this long-lost piece of American musical history.
KOERNER, SPIDER JOHN & FRIENDS “Music Is Just A Bunch Of Notes + The Secret Of Sleep “ (Nero’s Neptune - NN
013) CD+DVD  (UPC: 643157410911 – CDKOERNMusi) ***Music Is Just A Bunch Of Notes was cut in 1972 in an
upstairs storefront building above a coffee house on Minneapolis’ West Bank. One of the counterculture’s first
entirely DIY efforts, it was engineered by 12-string guitar legend DAVE “SNAKER” RAY and released on his
fledgling Sweet Jane label. All of the songs are SPIDER JOHN KOERNER originals; the tunes are sequenced with a
cinematic eye and interspersed with weird spoken word bits. The album includes several mainstays of John’s
repertoire, including the timeless “Everybody’s Goin’ For The Money,” a song that sums up the uniquely Koernerian
brand of existentialism as tidily as any. This CD is mastered from the original tapes and is reissued for the first time
since the rare 1972 release. Includes a DVD, the 1970 “photo-skit” The Secret of Sleep, wherein Percival (John
Koerner) gets a call in which he’s told to go on a mysterious quest. Percy and his buddy (WILLIE MURPHY) wander
around in various utopian settings, but in the end, they return to the city to contend with reality.
PARR, CHARLIE “When The Devil Goes Blind” (Nero’s Neptune - NN 016) CD  (UPC: 643157411116 - cdparr
when) ***Where do you start when you want to sing the praises of a man who would, in a just world, already be a
household name? I suppose that you could talk about how CHARLIE PARR’s spellbinding finger picking and slide
techniques on guitar and banjo place him front & center among the world’s foremost string-benders. Or you could try
to explain how Charlie’s blood & guts songs are infused with an originality, integrity and heart rarely (if ever)
displayed by contemporaries operating in or around pre-war blues traditions. Further, you might extrapolate on how
Parr’s performing career (which began in 1988) has taken him from Twin Cities bars and coffeehouses—studying
resident greats like Dave Ray and Spider John Koerner—to the year 2010, where he’s enjoying an ever-growing fan
base comprised of folk-blues purists, American Primitive beard-scratchers, jam band-lovin’ neo-hippies, and, well,
just about every type of person imaginable. Charlie’s new record, When The Devil Goes Blind, is easily his most fully
realized effort to date.

TU FAWNING “Hearts on Hold” (Jealous Butcher - JB 082) LP  (UPC: 751937394310 - LPTU FAHear)
***It’s clear from the opening seconds of TU FAWNING’s debut full length, that there’s something very, very
different about this Portland, Oregon band. The trumpets, ghostly chanting, violins, trombones, funereal drums,
guitars, samples, piano and golden harmonies are not the sound of your everyday indie rock act. In fact, CORRINA
REPP and JOE HAEGE carved out cult reputations in 31 KNOTS, and violinist LIZA RIETZ held her own in SWORDS
PROJECT. "This is cinematic music at it's sweetest."—RCRD LBL. Opening for Memomena on 2010 Fall tour.

release, Night Ripper has become one of the most blogged releases of 2006, was awarded “Best New Music” by
Pitchfork, and has made many proclaim Girl Talk the next Danger Mouse. “One endlessly entertaining mega mashup”

BITTERS “Have A Nap Hotel” (Sacred Bones - SBR 036) 12"  (LPBITTEHave)
***BACK IN STOCK!!! Hot on the heels of their debut Mexican Summer long-player, THE BITTERS, consisting of
AERIN FOGEL and the ever-prolific BEN COOK (ROOMMATES, YOUNG GOVERNOR, FUCKED UP), bring us
their Have a Nap Hotel EP. This Toronto-based duo have built a name for themselves forging their self-coined “cave
pop” genre, which merges elements of ‘50s melodies and dark post-punk instrumentals with just a hint of flannel.
Their debut 12-inch EP Wooden Glove, was released last spring on Captured Tracks and sold out shortly after, having
been instantly well-received among tough critics and keen listeners alike. Cook’s jangly guitars stay back in the cut
and let Fogel’s vocals (and the occasional fuzzy lead, saxophone, synth line, and handclap) wash over the tunes. Their
collaborative work appears live with the help of drummer JONAH FALCO (Fucked Up, CAREER SUICIDE) and a
rotation of starry guest bassists. Though live shows have been scarce, owing to the members’ involvement with a
number of other disparate projects, the band made their live debut a short time ago and found time to play the Sacred
Bones label showcase at SXSW.

CANDY CLAWS “Hidden Lands” (Twosyllable - TSR 010) CD  UPC: 656605797229 – CDCANDYHidd)
***BACK IN STOCK!!! RYAN HOVER and KAY BERTHOLF, composers, arrangers, and principle songwriters of
CANDY CLAWS, wrote Hidden Lands on keyboard because they don't know how to play keyboard. They had to rely
completely on what sounded right, rather than rely on techniques they had learned. Strange chords and melodies
arose that might sound "wrong" to the trained musician, but sound mysterious and exciting to them. Each song on
Hidden Lands contains a sample of every other song on the album. They’d used this technique on previous releases,
but this time around it happens throughout the whole album, creating a very cohesive listening experience. Hidden
Lands, their second album and first on Twosyllable records, is a musical companion to Richard M. Ketchum's book,
The Secret Life of the Forest. To derive lyrics, the band borrowed paragraphs from the book and used translation
software to translate them back and forth between English and Japanese until they equalized, finding very cool
phrases along the way. The resulting lyrics are almost nothing like the original words, but are actually some very
insightful and poetic phrases. On the road, Candy Claws are an orchestra of eight. Friends and musicians from the
Fort Collins, Colorado area bring to life the sounds of Hidden Lands. It is completely unique and wonderful record.
There may be nothing in the world like it. Received a 7.9 rating from Pitchfork.

SWAHILI BLONDE “Man Meat” (Manimal - MANI 022) CD  (UPC: 635961169529 – CDSWAHIMan)
***BACK IN STOCK!!! This Los Angeles dance/funk/prog band consist of ex-WEAVE! drummer and vocalist
NICOLE TURLEY and ex-RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS guitarist, JOHN FRUSCIANTE. Together they blend the exotic
dance-punk flow of Tom Tom Club and Raincoats with the dark Germanic arrangements of Can and Neu! Recorded
in the Hollywood Hills during the winter of 2009/2010 and features a slew of guest appearances ranging from
DURAN DURAN bass-man, JOHN TAYLOR ("Tigress Ritual") and THE LIKE’s LAENA MYERS on bass and violin.
No Export to the UK and EU.

BOTTOMLESS PIT “Blood Under The Bridge” (Comedy Minus One - CMO 005) CD  (UPC: 637051150028 –
CDBOTTOBloo) ***7.4 Pitchfork review. CHECK STOCK! Blood Under the Bridge is the third record and second
full-length by BOTTOMLESS PIT, a quartet formed in 2005 by erstwhile SILKWORM members TIM MIDGETT and
ANDY COHEN. Their longtime friends CHRIS MANFRIN (SEAM) and BRIAN ORCHARD (.22) complete the
quartet. The album explores the awful and thrilling randomness of fate, with a hard fix on the future. Affectionate
and brusque, languid and bracing—it is nearly peerless modern post-punk. The band's first album, Hammer of the
Gods, received an 8.3 rating from Pitchfork, who said: “As fine a debut as folks could hope for."

DARK DARK DARK “Snow Magic” (Supply And Demand Music - SAD 001) CD  (UPC: 707541975421 – CDDARK
Snow) ***BACK IN STOCK!!! If you listen, the story of the band DARK DARK DARK is woven into the haunting
songs of their debut album, The Snow Magic. It’s a story of love and heartache, death and loneliness, and the
persistent sense of hope that keeps you living and moving. These familiar themes are tangled up with tales of ghosts,
fermenting bodies, and magical dreams. Dark Dark Dark’s sound draws heavily on Americana and Eastern European
influences, referencing a long tradition of wandering musicians and those who have lived deeply. Despite the
references, it’s clear listening to The Snow Magic that this isn’t a band preoccupied with recreating the past. Rather,
the band both celebrates the past and looks forward, with songs remembering lost friends, leaving lovers behind, and
casting off the things that hold us back. With intricate song-craft and playful sensibilities, Dark Dark Dark uses their
small array of age-old instruments to conjure a lush musical vision of the future. Dark Dark Dark’s journey continues
in 2008, as the band collaborates with the artist Swoon and playwright Lisa D’Amour on Swimming Cities of
Switchback Sea, a flotilla of rafts to be sailed down the Hudson River, culminating in a performance at Deitch Projects
in New York City. It will also see the bands first European tour, and filming and scoring Flood, a project conceived
and directed by bassist TODD CHANDLER.

desire to explore new sonic directions. Los Angeles’ FILM SCHOOL, a band who released two critically acclaimed
album on Beggars Banquet, played sold out shows across Britain with Mercury Prize nominees British Sea Power,
toured Europe with The National, headlined multiple North American tours, and was hand-picked by UK legends
Swervedriver to open their 2008 North American reunion tour, felt like mixing things up a bit this time around.
Fission is an album of clarity, energy, and change. One of the most notable differences on this album is the more
prominent vocal presence of bassist LORELEI PLOTCZYK. The result is a dynamic mix of songwriting by BERTENS,
Plotczyk and RUCK with help from guitarist DAVE DUPUIS and drummer JAMES SMITH. LP includes a free

WALKMEN “Lisbon” (Fat Possum - FP 1228) LP  (UPC: 767981122816 – LPWALKMLisb)
***BACK IN STOCK!!! Received an 8.6 Best New Music rating from Pitchfork. Lisbon was recorded over the course
of eight months beginning in the fall of 2009 with producer CHRIS ZANE (Passion Pit, Les Savy Fav, Tokyo Police
Club). The band then traveled to Dallas to finish the album with producer JOHN CONGLETON (St. Vincent,
Explosions in the Sky). Featuring the band’s signature vintage instrument-sound, Lisbon will showcase “a lot of stuff
that’s Elvis-sounding, like early Elvis and Sun Records kind of sounds,” says frontman HAMILTON LEITHAUSER.
WOMEN “Public Strain” (Jagjaguwar - JAG 152) CD  (UPC: 656605215228 – CDWOMENPubl)

***8.0 album review in Pitchfork. CHECK STOCK!! On their debut self-titled album, WOMEN embraced sonic
brashness that deeper examination revealed to be tinted with sly pop melody. With their second album, Public Strain,
the band has honed a sound truthful to that reverb drenched noise while allowing the pop sensibilities to surface into
clearer focus. This exact balance of delicate and dense is a pervasive thread throughout the album, reflecting the
contradiction of the band's environment buried in urban sprawl framed by prairie landscape. Whether twisting
through the urgent krautrock of "Locust Valley," an exercise of harmony through simplicity, or climaxing with the
bittersweet melody of "Eyesore," the album somehow builds luminous contrast out of a palette of grays.

LIL B “Rain in England” (Weird Forest - WEIRD 57) CD  (UPC: 656605798820 - CDLIL Brain)
***BACK IN STOCK!!! “Just who is LIL B? The Based God has scored so many Youtube hits and crammed so many
full length albums under his belt it can be hard for youngbloods to get a handle on what this rap savant is all about. Is
he the internet sensation with a hundred girls on his dick? Or could he be the leading light of a new hip hop
underground, one that has finally wrenched itself from the grubby backpacks and the cynicism of the mid 1990s? He's
both, and with Rain in England the story gets even more mysterious and far more incomprehensible. Those already
up to speed on B's molasses-beats and stream-of-consciousness ('based') flow will think they got him pegged. Internet
hype and heavy tunes—battle raps and copious interviews. He's the anti-Drake—all ill-mannered, hungry and
mercilessly lo-fidelity, and unafraid to make a beef over Twitter. Rain in England shows an antithesis to this
character, a tempered side to his ADD report card. Part new-age ambient and part hip hop, the record is
uncharacteristically fluid, with B's singular rhymes falling perfectly into a bed of syrupy electronics. B never falls into
the trap of allowing himself to get too abstractedly wordy, yet we always retain the sense that he's not your typical
street rapper. He's young, but there are stories to be told, and those stories are heard through the frosted glass of
burned synthesizer melodies and disintegrating pads. Singular, disturbing and certain to polarize listeners, Rain In
England is an album destined for a new breed of rap fans. Lil B may just be the genre's brightest young hope; what
exactly that genre is, only time will tell.”—John Twells

KORINE, HARMONY “Trash Humpers” (Drag City - DC 439) DVD  (UPC: 781484043997 – DVKORINTras)
***BACK IN STOCK!!! In the Summer of 2010, the underground trend of “trash-humping” jumped the Nashville city
limits as the film Trash Humpers spread across the nation, screening in movie theaters, galleries, bars and grills and
anyplace, really, indoors or out, that could draw a crowd to see the thing. Filmmaker HARMONY KORINE often
accompanied the film, standing around and answering questions when he wasn’t doing something else. It was
something to see, but the only problem was, all you could do once you’d walked away was revisit the images seared
into your brain for the rest of your life. Now, the official DVD release of Trash Humpers is here for you to take with
you to whatever your destiny has to offer you. You don’t know when you’re gonna die. It could be tomorrow. But
hopefully it won’t be until after September 21st, when Trash Humpers becomes available on DVD, complete with the
extra featurettes “Mac and Plac,“ and “Blood of Havana,“ as well as deleted scenes that everyone forgot about after
making this but are actually kind of cool! About the Filmmaker: Harmony Korine has been a party to some of the
most enervating films of the last two decades, including Gummo, Julien Donkey-Boy, and Mister Lonely. Somebody
said that Trash Humpers was his most baffling film yet. Okay…

PO PO “Bummer Summer / Teen Dreamz” (Mad Decent - MAD 121) 7"  (07PO POBumm)
***Double sided beauty from the brothers SHOAIB and ZEB of PO PO. As a two man group they’ve been zeroing in
on a sound that combines their live instrumentation with the electronic programming that they’ve been cranking out
on an old tower PC. This single gives a perfect look into the crosshairs of that PO PO world with two very different
tracks. “Bummer Summer” is one of PO PO’s poppiest and prettiest tracks—despite the title and lyrics that may or
may not say “I’ll watch you die.” It’s one of those feel good melancholy songs that sounds best soaked in 97 degree
humidity—or looking at the sky from the hood of a car, or zoning the hell out somewhere for no good reason. The
intro to “Teen Dreamz” sounds like a duet between the Hammer of Thor in hell and a 5000 watt call to prayer speaker
that’s been screwed down to negative speed. It was called the “Epic Intro Song” for a while for a reason; stick around
for the drop cause it’s worth it. After a minute, “Teen Dreamz” falls into a mind numbing half time beat while Zeb’s
falsetto vocals roll around with the drones from the intro, and the whole thing makes you feel like you just ate a
pound of mushrooms. “Teen Dreamz” finds the line of being uniquely heavy without being obnoxious or grating;
needless to say we love this.

OWEN “Abandoned Bridges” (Polyvinyl - PRC 204) 7"  (UPC: 644110020475 - 07OWENAban)
***MIKE KINSELLA (AMERICAN FOOTBALL, CAP’N JAZZ) returns with two new songs: an all new original
“Abandoned Bridges” and the Wilco-penned “I’m Always in Love.” The two songs are exclusive to this release and
were recorded in Champaign-Urbana in March by cousin NATE KINSELLA (of Make Believe and Birthmark) and
mixed in Chicago. The 7-inch is mastered by JOHN GOLDEN and features a chipboard jacked designed by PAUL
KOOB. Limited edition of 3,000. Includes a download.

XBXRX “O” (Polyvinyl - PRC 206) 7"  (UPC: 644110020574 - 07XBXRXO)
***XBXRX’s range of supporters run the gamut of Henry Rollins, Ian MacKaye, Sonic Youth, Peaches, Mates of State,
and many more. Maybe you’ve heard the term “artist’s artist.” That’s XBXRX. The core of the band is two brothers
who are renowned for their impact on the SF/ Oakland art/punk scene. Other musicians who have performed in
XBXRX have also been part of pioneering underground bands such as The Flying Luttenbachers, Total Shutdown,
and Deerhoof. Departing from the improvised and experimental nature of their past two releases (Un Usper (2009)
and Sounds (2008)), O is straight up aggression. Holding the same energy as a bomb explosion, they plow through ten
tracks in under ten minutes. The tempo of the music goes by as fast as this limited single will sell out. Accompanying
the single will be a LAWRENCE CLINE directed mini-movie for the whole single. Mastered by JOHN GOLDEN.
Limited edition of 500. Includes a download.

GREATEST HITS “Danse Pop” (Olde English Spelling Bee - OESB 702) 7"  (07GREATDans)
***“Dance pop euphoria. Lead track "Danse Pop" dives right into what makes GREATEST HITS great, melding
pulverizing rhythms, singsong vocals, and a bouncing bass into one monster of a club jam. It kicks off muffled for a
few seconds, like listening to a tape of songs you recorded off the radio when you were old enough to think it was
actually a good idea. Then it takes off, greeting its ancestors with open arms, but at the same time gazing past them.
"Danse Pop" updates a hyperactive and robotic electro sound of decades past by injecting a completely relatable,
human, even romantic element. The only problem? It's over after 122 seconds.” Four Songs.

DIEGO & THE DISSIDENTS “Contaminated Waters” (Quite Scientific - QSR 016) 7"  (UPC: 5050580539624 -

from their full length Contaminated Waters from the BANKSY documentary Through The Gift Shop.
