[31R049]
Seba : Don't You Love Me Anymore / Keep Me Waiting : 31 Records : 12"
Finish copy. Swedish producer Sebastian Ahrenberg has established a reputation as one of the finest purveyors of quality drum &  bass over a distinguished career stretching back over 15 years. From his early tracks on LTJ Bukem's ground-breaking label Good  Looking Records to his recent debut LP 'Return to Forever,' Seba's music has retained a timeless appeal and brings together beats  and bass in classic style. Ethereal atmospheres, crisp breaks and sublime bass rhythms are hallmarks of a sound he has made his  own, with releases across the very best labels including Metalheadz, Soul:r, Hospital and his own Secret Operations. 31 Records and  Seba you know these tracks are gonna be fresh! / DnB / [10/21/2010]

[ALLSORTS21]
Joe Syntax : Slingshot / Fire Engine : Allsorts : 12"
A relative newcomer to the Drum and Bass scene, Joe Syntax has begun to make quite a name for himself over the past few months. His first productions surfaced earlier this year on the legendary Hospital Records and their sister label Med School music, and he has already gained club and radio support from the likes of Hype, Fabio, London Elektricity and many other respected DJs and producers. Hailing from the West Country, but currently based in London, Joe has been soaking up the many musical influences around him, and the resulting productions definitely confirm that he is at the cutting edge, and one of best new skool producers out there. This 3 track single will mark his arrival on the scene and so brace yourself for forward thinking music, with stimulating atmospherics and a clear techno influence. * ‘Slingshot’ is a stripped back minimal track, with lush pads and light percussion giving way to an elastic bassline, hypnotic drums and perfectly placed fx’s and atmospherics. Support from minimal, techy, liquid and jump up heads have shown that this track has appeal across the board. ‘Fire Engine’ intro’s with solid marching beats which fall into a crazy drop full of twists and turns and slips and slides, combining a whole host of mixed up different sounds which gel seamlessly together drawing the listener in keeping dancefloors bubbling. ‘Spa Town’, possibly a homage to Joe’s West Country roots, is an introspective and immersive track combining deep warm bass, delicate chord stabs and spacey FX’s. / DnB / [10/21/2010]

[BBK032]
Camo & Krooked : Can't Get Enough / Without You : Breakbeat Kaos : 12"
Pull up! The BBK crew are in town once more and as per usual they mean business. Having just caught everyone offguard with Adam F’s enormous 4/4 stomp with Redman it’s back to the drum & bass with a release from a duo who are simply everywhere right now, Camo & Krooked. Having had releases on the likes of Mainframe, Viper, Beta, Nasca and Renegade Hardware this Austrian partnership’s catalogue is already impressive but now with their debut single on Breakbeat Kaos, arguably the biggest D&B label in the world, their status looks set to sky-rocket. * Make no mistake ‘I Can’t Get Enough’ rocks hard and rumour has it all those who’ve heard it so far have been left grinning for days afterwards. Intro’ing with feel-good piano stabs, soaring strings and the title vocal sample it’s not long before the floor drops away and in flows a nasty lone, twisted, filtered bass that’ll have faces wincing. An almighty crescendo ensues before a thunderous kick-snare combo romps in with the b-line and we’re away on a journey of dance floor annihilation. As if this wasn’t enough the pianos return later with a glorious wailing house vocal over the top to offer a little respite before that bass returns to bring it home. Essential. * On to the second track and things lighten a little on ‘Without You’, an electro-edged slice of future D&B. A simple break leads us into a breakdown with a rather large arpeggiated synth riff that sets the scene alongside a cool vocoded ‘without you’ vocal. A mid-range reece stab toughens it up a little and signals the drop into a warm chordal organ bassline that rides underneath throughout to make this one shine. Fans of the Brookes Brothers should lap this up! / DnB / [10/21/2010]

[BETA024]
High Rankin : State Pump / Feel For You : Beta  : 12"
High Rankin‘s music is a celebration of eccentricity. Brimming with character and personality, Rankin’s tunes never fail to raise the bar musically and always cause an inevitable dance floor riot. * ‘State Pump’ arrives with a collective mix of beats, each one eager to stamp its mark. Beginning on a fairly mellow note Rankin introduces an echoing rhythmic melody before unleashing an onslaught of rough beats that engulf the ears! The bouncing electro beat drives the track giving it a real jump up rock and rave vibe that makes it a tune that will be hard to forget! * ‘Feel for You’ delivers Rankin’s trademark dubstep and it is especially relentless in this new single. The pitched up vocals recall early 90s hardcore and interject throughout to create hard hitting build ups that are almost grime like in their raw energy. * Beta Recordings is run by John B, one of the most eclectic and unique individuals within electronic music today. Renowned for his expansive DJ sets and globetrotting lifestyle, the best way to describe John is to expect the unexpected! / DnB / [10/21/2010]

Finished copy promo. Next release on DSCI4 will be Lost Dubs 1 a unreleased Ed Rush & Optical remix of the classic anthem Sonar.  The b-side being Trace - Final Chapter (Tim Reaper Remix]) strictly limited vinyl only.    So the story with Sonar VIP is... (words by Trace)    Optical ripped from one of the only playable dubplates of the track and cleaned it up so it could be played out. Anyone that was at  the last DSCI4 night at ghost would of heard it and it did sound good. So I have taken this version to Stu @ Metropolis and had it de  noised and re mastered it is the only way I can get this version to the people who want it. [ENM005]
Triad : Spellbound / Fortune : Engine Music : 12"
Engine Music is delighted to present this next release from German wunder-trio, Triad. Comprised of Henree with releases on Soul:R and C.I.A under his belt, Bastikal, headhoncho of the much respected PhunkFiction label and L Flow a classically trained musician and avid analogue synth collector. As Triad they belong to the new breed of producers, reexamining the conventions and reinvigorating the experimentation in the dnb genre which has been lacking unitl late. Two slices of mature, open minded dnb with Spellbound on the A side. A subdued, bass heavy stepper with a naughty bassline switch up. Fortune on the flip is a little half tempo number with dubbed out samples and a sultry bassline. Or as we like to call it: a slow grinder. [GRIDUK041]
Tyke & Prestige : Oh My / Awful : Grid Recordings UK : 12"
As solo artists Tyke and Prestige have been hard at work over the last couple of years refining their brands of infectious dancefloor Drum and Bass. In recent months this hard worked as really started to pay dividends, with Tyke grabbing a spot on Andy C’s huge Nightlife 5 album on Ram Records, and Prestige catching the attention of Distorted Minds with releases through their D-Style label group. After linking up online, and despite living thousands of miles apart - Tyke is UK based, while Prestige is flying the flag for Russian D&B – they realised that together two heads were better than one and started collaborating. Plays from Grooverider, Hazard, Nicky Blackmarket and more suggest they’re doing something right! * These two tracks strip back dancefloor D&B to its rawest and funkiest roots and fit perfectly with the Grid sound. ‘Oh My!’ combines marching beats, cheeky vocal samples and 50’s b-movie horn stabs with a rumbling bline to create classic uptempo, upbeat dancefloor D&B. ‘Awful’ sticks with the old skool movie influenced samples, with urgent strings, film noir vocal snippets and an infectious swing beat jump up smasher. / DnB / [10/21/2010]

Spktrm : Avant Futura / Iconia : Habit : 12"
Finish copy promo. The second release of this mightky label for the fall of 2010. Gein presents the sounds of SPKTRM to showcase  its diversity he wants to sign for his label. SPKTRM straight from the USA is already a well established name out there with releases  on labels like Human / Habit / Project 51 / Evol Intent / Barcode / SS. Avant Futura takes us into the depths with its hard hitting kicks,  rollin snares, bassline growls and the sax floating around in the atmosphere. The flip Iconia is another bassline fuelled hardhitter.  Spooky intro introduces the massive bassline. Big bad heavy beats will pound the speaker to shreds. Habit is back and ready to kick  ass and take names. / DnB / [10/21/2010]

Rockwell : Reverse Engineering / Everything (& U) : Darkestral : 12"
Finish copy. Pressed on heavyweight 180 gram vinyl. Artwork: Black Reverse Board sleeve, Bronze Pantone logo and text  throughout, all sleeve and label information written backwards in keeping with the reverse concept. Cut in inside-out (record plays  from centre label out to the edge) on a Scully Lathe.  Release: Less a best kept secret, now a fully fledged artist of the moment Rockwell has been steadily building a reputation as one of  the more progressive electronic artists around in 2010, with an ear for a different take on how to move dancefloors whilst also  showing an adept ability at beat programming that is setting himself apart from his peers. Darkestral finally release one of the most  talked about tracks on underground forums (10K plus posts on a DOA) and unleash the bewildering 'Reverse Engineering' - a track  solely built from backwards parts, that has been delighting, confounding and confusing dancefloors the world over. Coupled with the  polar opposite beauty of 'Everything (& U)', which continues the Darkestral love for contrasting sides on releases, and was recently  licensed to FabricLive52, this track marks a stamp of quality on the burgeoning minimalist dnb sound by adding the emotional layer  that Darkestral aa sides have become known for. / DnB / [10/21/2010]

Serum : Snuff Box / Rat Trap : Philly Blunt : 12"
Serum takes on the sound of Philly with two absolute killer tracks. On the A side Serum's crisp production prove that clear liquid can be separated from clotted blood. Serum is one of the few prolific jungle producers in drum and bass and you can feel the vibe, well executed breakbeats with a nod to the past, coupled with interesting samples and ideas that all culminate in some kind of jungle-funk beauty. / DnB / [10/21/2010]

Anile is making big waves on  the scene right now with his very own definition of futuristic Drum&Bass. "Left Behind" and "Lessons To Become" are impressive  examples of how you can put dark soundscapes and minimal elements in a heavy dancefloor suit. The 8th release on Flight’s play:musik label see’s another excursion into deep bass and beats by the much loved Survival; this time in collaboration with long-time friend Chris Inperspective under their ‘Living In Shadows’ guise. The a-side gives you the melancholy but tough and rolling “Apple Fingers”. Flip over to the b to find the quirky sounds of “The Phlebass Consideration” – apparently inspired by an Iain M. [PM020]
Paradox / Equinox : Eternalism / Paralyze Babylon : Paradox Music : 12"
The 60th 12” across the Paradox labels has landed! and to mark PM020 in style Paradox Music has finally added the legendary Equinox to their artist roster after nearly a decade of requests. ‘Paralyze Babylon’ oozes funk and dnb knowledge as Marlon Equinox demonstrates that it is possible to roll linear edited breaks (a paradox in itself). Low subs rumble underneath fx and reggae vocals whilst a great 808 b-line complements dirty amen loops that swing left-to-right, but still have that paramount linear funk – a simple master class in breakbeat science. Paradox switches his amen eq to complement ‘Paralyze Babylon’ for a raw jungle workout on the flip. ‘Eternalism’ is uncooked meat Paradox style! Crusty low pitch patterns with a heavy bass kick pedal keep everything in check whilst fx and eerie film samples swirl around intricate reverse breaks that don’t fall down the stairs. / DnB / [10/21/2010]

[PRSPCT011]
The Panacea / Cooh / The Sect : The Large Hadron Collider / Danger Nation : PRSPCT : 12"
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is the world's largest and highest-energy particle accelerator. It is expected that it will address the most fundamental questions of physics, advancing our understanding of the deepest laws of nature. The Panacea and Cooh 'two of the most hardcore dnb producers of the scene' took the concept of the Collider and turned it into a drum n bass monster tune! An incredible raw intro with heavy kicks and basslines dominate the track and turn into mayhem after the drop.. Test and be amazed. And you thought it was all over after that. Wait till you hear the flip. This is even dirtier than the A-side. The Sect teaming up with Cooh and you get dirty to the extreme!! Skeptical, a name creeping up the chain, has really honed this skill of keeping it minimal yet powerful. “Cold One” is arguably his finest tune to date. Bringing back the hoovers, while delivering a totally fresh style, this is a must have tune. Dub Phizix from Manchester, is another new name, but with a slew of releases on big labels pending it won’t be long before he becomes a buy on sight artist. Crissy Criss & Youngman : Give You The World Part 3 : Technique : 12"
The final piece of the jigsaw from Crissy & Youngman is 'Give You The World' and has been much sought after over the last 6 months. It starts off in smoky, introspective fashion, with Youngman's vocals drifting over the soothing strings. But things get mucky quickly, as an onslaught of thudding bass hits takes the track straight into peak time dancefloor territory. * Flip the script to 'Shake That Booty', the duo show they're equally adept at rolling out deep and dirty dubstep, with an array of hyperactive electro bass riffs and cabinet rattling sub bass. / DnB / [10/21/2010]

J Majik & Wickaman : Assassin / Feel About You (Dubstep Remix) : Mosquito  : 12"
J Majik & Wickaman continue to gear up for the release of this year’s ‘Mosquito’ LP and this dirty dubstep 12” will no doubt cement their reputation as one of the most versatile production outfits on the block. * While their crossover tunes are being lapped up by Radio 1’s daytime jocks, such as Greg James and even Chris Moyles, so their more underground efforts are striking a filth-ridden chord with club DJs the world over as the likes of Skream, Chase & Status and Roska queue up to drop their latest dancefloor bombs. * Here we’re treated to two massive tracks of the 140bpm variety. ‘The Assassin’ incorporates classic Kung Fu movie samples with modern wall-of-sound production and an irresistible J Majik & Wickaman bassline to immediate effect. Grinding synths and powerful beats are the order of the day on this guaranteed rave smasher. * On the flip the boys go in on a dubstep rework of last year’s incredible ‘Feel About You’, a track lauded by the breakfast brigade on Radio 1. We doubt they’ll see fit to play this horrendously hard mix though, unless the average rush hour listener likes to call up Moyles for the reload! / DnB / Dubstep / [10/21/2010]

STRICTLY LIMITED TO 500 UNITS * TMSV is a talented young producer from the Netherlands who is slowly building a solid fanbase, counting none other than Mala (DMZ) among his supporters. Recognizing his potential and his unique take on the original dubstep sound, Box Clever are preparing to release his first solo plate as part of their limited edition 10" vinyl series. * TMSV gives little away with the intro to 'Signal', relying on scattered drums and hints of the percussive hook to draw attention to the main drop - rippling beats, undulating bass and twinkling synth accents. * 'Cold' brings foundation flavours, with heavily reverbed drums and invisible infrasonics bringing meditational steppas vibes - an eyes-down lesson in minimal dubstep perfection. / Dubstep / [10/21/2010]

Suckafish P. Jones : Mr.Midnight : Disboot : 12"
Suckafish P. Jones, the self-proclaimed ringmaster of voodoo electronics, returns to evil up your soundsystem with his second EP for  Disboot records, 'Mr Midnight'. Released on 12" vynil for Disboot Records, Suckafish summons up four tracks of jagged robot funk  from the depths of the swamp. Perverting the tropes and conventions of Uk Garage, Grime and hip hop, 'Mr Midnight' combines  pulsing low end rhythms with possessive melodies to create a soundtrack to that full moon night that never ends. Sleazy, emotional,  violent and ecstatic at the same time, Suckafish's latest offering maintains his reputation for productions that ignite the dance with  raw, infectious energy and humour. 'Match Set Point' sets off the proceedings in style, with it's jerky hip hop beat propelled by  apocolyptic toms and metronomic pulses. Threatening to crack apart like thunder at every turn, but holding us in its chaotic hypnosis,  the track swirls its way through psychedelic arpeggios and bent, cascading vocals which remind us that, yes, '...the bounce is back'!  The EP's second track, 'Wild and Dirty', turns up the temperature; with its fractured post-dubstep beat that snaps open growling,  detuned basslines and robo-funk melodics. Urgent, epic and overheated, it challenges you to drop any head-nod pretenses and start  shaking like you're possessed. 'Bubble Farm' offers perhaps the most jittery dancefloor-oriented offering of the EP. Combining elastic  synthesis with hip swinging rhythms and tropical electronics, the track jerks us back and forth in impossible maneuvers within its  fractured, low end bounce and melodic intricacy. To end, 'The Touch' pours out of the speakers as a solid barefoot beat carrying a  wave of rich, dense analogue synths. With it's ridiculously loose, manic LFOs, 'The Touch' throbs and snaps its way out of the  speakers with all the swagger of a gold-tooth club classic for the post apocalyptic future.  a1 Suckafish P. Jones - Match set point  a2 Suckafish P. Jones - Wild and dirty  b1 Suckafish P. Jones - The touch  b2 Suckafish P. Jones - Bubble Farm / Dubstep / [10/21/2010]

Chasing Shadows : Red (Remix) / Odyssey : Hench : 12"
Two formats in stock,Limited Red Vinyl pressing and Limited Black Vinyl. With the massive 'It Was Written', Chasing Shadows' dark  production style broke through. Having now had two double-sided H.E.N.C.H releases; 'Dr Sin/ The End' and 'Ill/Amirah' and their  track 'Dream On' forming the crescendo for the Hench Mixtape Vol. 1, these talented producers are rapidly becoming household  names within the dubstep fraternity. Once again this duo brings to the table two tracks that have been the talk amongst all who've  bared witness in the club. Two distinctive, destructive productions that are guaranteed to cause delight.    A. LAID BLAK - RED (CHASING SHADOWS REMIX) - Spanish-style guitar riff builds to make way for one of the catchiest vocal hooks  that Bristol's ever produced. Continue further to make way for a characteristically epic bassline drop that will shake the floor from  beneath you. 'Red' is an awe-inspiring track that builds constantly. Expect the whole crowd to have hands in the air and singing along  to this one - truly a future classic.  AA. ODYSSEY - Odyssey is the kind of production that your neighbours are going to loath you for, but you just can't stop listening to  it anyway. An Atmospheric and expectant intro builds into juggernaut-like bassline. Couple this with its rolling tempo and crashing  snares and you get the idea of why it works on your iPod, on the stereo, in the rave, and pretty much anywhere else that calls for a  roller of this proportion! / Dubstep / [10/21/2010]

Space Dimension Controller : The Temporary Thrillz EP : R&S : 2x12"
Limited first run on purple splattered vinyl 2x12" maxi EP format, that also has 4 locked grooves R&S Records return with another  exciting young talent. Space Dimension Controller has already caused a fuss on the underground with his Love Quadrant (Kinnego)  and Journey To The Unknown Sphere (Royal Oak) releases. SDC aka 20 year old Jack Hamill from Belfast makes music way beyond  his years, high on concept, made on analogue equipment and head and shoulders above his peers. Probably the reason the exclusive  Red Bull music academy chose him for their recent course in London. The Temporary Thrillz doublepack vinyl release sees Jack  advancing his signature sound over this maxi ep format.  People have difficulty pinning down the SDC sound, I've seen it described as electro, space funk, cosmic disco, pop-psychedelic,  techno-funk, jazz fusion, disco house and electronica. It's probably all those things and more, and we are proud of the fact that its so  hard to pigeonhole. A quick look at the tracklist of his Fact podcast mixes up Zapp, Class Action, Jonzun Crew, Model 500 and Der  Zyklus which can give you an idea of where his head is at musically, and proves he's a perfect artist for R&S.  The Temporary Thrillz EP contains intergalactic slow jams, deep club excursions and mid tempo space funk, all with the SDC  trademark depth, soul and finesse. This is another release that will cement SDC as one of the best and most talked about young  producers of the year.  Dubstep / [10/21/2010]

One half of the album vinyl is set to be released on Shadows Of The  Empire, containing a pick of the dubstep tracks taken from 'Lights And Wires'.From the opening bars of 'The 405' it's clear that Black  Sun Empire have retained their distinctly stark techno influences blended with a more refined edge. 'Dirty Friday' strays further and  deeper, mellowing the aggressive undertones with wide-open synths and delicately placed sound effects. Teaming up with SPL,  Black Sun Empire bring you 'Wasteland', a track with an epic intro that drops into an apocalyptic vision of the future. [METH013EP2]
Commix [M. Dettmann / A Made Up Sound / UR] : Re:Call to Mind EP 2 : Metalheadz : 2x12"
a) Emily’s Smile (Sigha Remix) South London based Sigha is building up a steady stream of quality releases for Scuba’s Hotflush label. Although the label is better known for its dubstep output, Sigha’s take on techno is, for us, the most exciting stuff to come through on the label. The original track is more reminiscent of mid-90s “intelligentí d’n’b”, but Sigha has turned it into a slow burning dub techno affair. * b) Satellite Type 2 (Marcel Dettmann Remix) In the last few years, Marcel Dettmann has been pivotal in bringing through a new techno sound that almost seems like a backlash against the hugely popular yet largely stagnant minimal style. Taking influence from second-wave Detroit techno such as Robert Hood or Underground Resistance, Birmingham based artists like Surgeon or the whole late 90s Berlin and Rotterdam scenes, his music is a real breath of fresh air as far were concerned. Our original version on Satellite Type 2 was heavily influenced by techno and he was the perfect candidate to remix this. * c) Strictly (Kassem Mosse Remix) The original Strictly was very much a homage to early 90’s British electronica like Black Dog, and early house music on labels like Strictly Rhythm. Over the last couple of years Kassem Mosse has really stood out with his lo-fi gritty and slow house and techno so seemed the perfect choice. * d) Spectacle (Two Armadillos Remix) The original was one of our early attempts at doing deep house music in the same vein as artists like Moodymann, Pepe Braddock or Ron Trent. So when the idea of getting these guys to do their version came up it seemed perfect. As well as Giles Smith running one of the most successful underground house nights in London and beyond, his Two Armadillos project with producer Martin Dawson has produced some really interesting stuff over the last few years. / Dubstep / DnB / Minimal / House / [10/21/2010]

Arkist : What Do I See : Deca Rhythm : 12"
Arkist is a relative newcomer on the scene but is already making waves. His recent US tour with fellow Bristol-based DJ Wedge enabled him to introduce his sound to a greater audience and get a better grasp of the international scene. * His fresh attitude towards both producing and Djing defies boundaries between genres, combining Dubstep, Drum & Bass and Techno; This matched with his talent for creativity places his works on the cutting edge of dubstep, pushing the sound into new realms of sonic exploration. * Deca Rhythm is proud to present two of his most outstanding and defining tracks. What do I See will lock any dubstep dancefloor into a trance with its bright, detuned synths cascading over a deep flow of bass and solid driving beats. Awesome vocal samples add to the atmosphere and keep the listener on edge. * Rolling bass, smooth synths and a tough tribal beat make Out of the Sun a pioneering musical journey. [NS007]
Velour : The Velvet Connection : Night Slugs : 12"
The latest Night Slugs signing is steeped in mystery - a new project from two big producers (from the House and Dubstep scenes respectively) known only as Velour. "The Velvet Collection" is a concept EP of four subtle variations on a distinct theme: sleazy, luminescent, synth-soaked cosmic boogie infused with functionalist 808s. The EP is as much futuristic dance/sex music as it is an homage to iconic Roland hardware of the 80s. Opening track "Booty Slammer" announces Velour's intentions right from the intro, before its longing chords give way to cavernously low booming 808 sub bass. Bittersweet as it is seductive, the track rolls in halftime, punctuated by a vocal refrain: "inside of me". Very sensual! "The Scent Of Romance" and "Kick It Till It Breaks" both adapt the kind of jackin' drums favoured by the Dirty Bird crew while Velour's distinctive vintage synth work elevates them to the celestial realm. Both tracks work as spectacular tech-house centerpieces, but with enough low-end pressure to dominate any UK soundsystem. The EP is closed by "She Wore Velour", a theme song for the project, which refigures the record's sound palette into something more direct, driving and up-front. Arpeggiated twinkles and "Ripe Banana"-like pitch-bent beams of synth atop a massive diving sub are eventually consumed by an unforgettable chorus of keys. From the dancefloor to the boudoir, Velour is a pornographic synth odyssey / Dubstep / Funky / [10/21/2010]

Cubic Zirconia / Bok Bok [Ikonika] : Hoes Come Out At Night : Night Slugs : 12"
Another transatlantic soundclash on Night Slugs, this time centered around the New York-based R&B / acid house band Cubic Zirconia. On the A-side, elite Hyperdub producer Ikonika remixes Cubic Zirconia's "Hoes Come Out At Night", letting Tiombe Lockhart's dirty rap vocals ride her charging 145bpm riddim. Infused with all of Ikonika's signature cosmic synthwork, the 'Hoes' remix is also delightfully ghettotech-flavoured and primed for peak-time dancefloors. On the flip things get deeper as Night Slugs captain Bok Bok and Cubic Zirconia's Nick Hook collaborate on an retrofuturistic acid-bassline banger by the name of "Reclash". This time Tiombe is a ghostly presence, delivering disorientating incantations over Bok and Hook's jacking 808 drums and soaring synth psychedelia. Devnik (Bart) is an electronic music from the Netherlands. Devnik started producing in the late summer of 2008, just as a joke. As time passed, the music got better and better. First being into electro fidgety beats and getting signed on the English electro label Live-In Music, he eventually found out about a thing called dubstep. Dubstep now is his main goal, already being signed to Dubline Audio and having played along the likes of FuntCase, Cookie Monsta, Borgore, Unitz, Subscape, Crissy Criss, KOAN Sound, Ganja White Night, Sinister Souls, Osiris, Vyron, Switched Sources and more, Devnik is ready to destroy the dancefloor. / Dubstep / Grime / [10/21/2010]

Ikonika / Optimum : Aqueous Cream / Ampersand : Hum & Buzz : 12"
Ikonika & Optimum are proud to introduce their highly anticipated new venture: Hum + Buzz Records. This double A side debut release is right at the centre of the current UK crossover, post-genre sound. First up, 'Aqueous Cream' explores a different sound to the one Ikonika delivered on her recent Hyperdub debut album. A dancefloor ready track with smooth sub bass, staccato piano chords, trademark emotive synth-leads, underpinned by tough kicks, sizzling hi-hats and ricochet snares. On side AA, 'Ampersand' marks Ikonika & Optimum's first official collaboration. Layers of synth melodies float above a steady four/four pulse and unpredictable claps. An angular, broken, melodic march at a house tempo. / Tech-House / [10/21/2010]
